I was browsing through construction photos of some of our clients’ buildings and I noticed how one photo I took was taken nearly a year after I took the first one. This is “A.M. 1980”, at 1980 N Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square, Chicago – a block northwest from the CTA’s Western Blue Line station.
Once everything is permitted, and the crew starts building, it doesn’t take that long to erect an apartment building with 132 units and 20 car parking spaces!
The first photo (on the left) was taken November 20, 2017, and the last three photos (on the right) were taken November 3, 2018, and tenants had already started moving in.
For this project, MAPS conducted a full quality control code review of all disciplines (architecture, MEP, structural, zoning, and accessibility) to improve the design prior to permit submittal. MAPS also managed the foundation and full building permits.
